Problems faced by THE BRITISH

-The island was ruled by SULTAN ABDUL RAHMAN
-Only the sultan can give permission to the british to start a settlement.
-The sultan is under control of the dutch(arent they evil)
-Raffles schemed to get Tengku Hussein to be recognized the rightful sultan.
-If Tengku Hussein becomes sultan Raffles then can obtain permission to start settlements

The execution of the PLAN:
Phase 1:Retrieve Tengku Hussein
Phase 2:Get the agreement settled
Phase 3:Finalize the agreement

Tengku Hussein:Will be payed $5000 allowance(we all wish that)
Temenggong:Payed $3000 allowance(i still wish that was me)
